You accrue vacation hours on a pay-period by pay-period basis. Accrual rates are determined by your tenure with Cotality:
- Date of hire - 15 days per year / 4.62 hours per pay-period
- 5 to 9 years - 20 days per year / 6.15 hours per pay-period
- 10 years or more - 25 days per year / 7.69 hours per pay-period
You must use the minimum amount of vacation required by applicable employment standards legislation in the year it is earned (based on your province and tenure):
Ontario & British Columbia:
- Date of hire – 10 days
- 5 to 9 years – 15 days
Quebec:
- Date of hire – 10 days
- 3 years or more – 15 days
You are granted 5 paid days of Emergency/Sick time each calendar year. Unused time cannot be carried forward into the next year.
