Commuter Benefits
If you travel to work using public transportation or if you pay for parking near work, you could instantly save money by participating in the pre-tax Commuter benefits. Commuter benefits allow you to contribute pre-tax dollars each month to pay for eligible parking or transportation (to and from work) expenses.

Here’s how it works:

  • Choose how much you want to save each month with pre-tax dollars – up to $325 for public transportation/vanpool expenses or up to $325 per month for parking expenses
  • Log on to Fidelity’s NetBenefits.com or the “NetBenefits” mobile app and make your elections by selecting “Flexible Spending and Reimbursement Accounts” and then “Pre Tax Transit” or “Pre Tax Parking”
  • Log on each month by the 10th to elect contributions for the following month (or, make it easy be setting up recurring elections!)
  • You will be deducted on the second paycheck of the month preceding the month that the benefit is for (Example: January 19 for your February commuter benefit amount)
  • Fidelity will mail you a NetBenefits CommuterCard to use on eligible commuter expenses
  • Note: The amount of available funds on the card must cover the entire mass transit or parking expense or the transaction will be declined. You may split the cost by swiping your card for the exact available amount and then pay for the remaining amount with an alternate form of payment.
  • Any money in your commuter benefit account will be forfeited if you leave Cotality

Manage Your Account Online
Using Fidelity’s NetBenefits.com or the “NetBenefits” mobile app, you can:

  • Enroll in the commuter benefit for the following (or recurring) month(s)
  • Track your order history
  • Maintain your personal account information
